A formula for success, straight from the Bible

The Holy Bible gets so much negative press. The Bible is called mythology by some. They state that The Bible is a good book, but outdated. The Bible has been stamped as too negative. Some say that the Bible can not be used in the secular world to help people become successful in business and many of their life's goals. I will let you be the judge after reading this column. I think Habakkuk 2:2-3 can stand with any of today's popular books that deal with our becoming successful in any area of our lives. HABAKKUK 2:2-3 says to "WRITE THE VISION, AND MAKE IT PLAIN UPON TABLES, THAT HE MAY RUN THAT READETH IT. FOR THE VISION IS YET FOR AN APPOINTED TIME, BUT AT THE END IT SHALL SPEAK, AND NOT LIE: THOUGH IT TARRY, WAIT FOR IT; BECAUSE IT WILL SURELY COME, IT WILL NOT TARRY."

Father's Day

Mother's Day...just passed…and the Father's Day…just ahead…are really special time for families. Everyone who is paying attention can see the sad decline of family life in America. This will eventually destroy our homes, our culture, and our nation…just as surely as it did the Roman Empire. This fact does not need to be a "death-song," but rather a "Wake-up" call!

A bigot, a budget and more

Though state lawmakers are receiving high marks for bucking the governor and forging a compromise on the budget in the regular legislative session that ended last week, let's hope the "attaboys" were deserved.
