'Louise Bond is the only choice' posted Thursday, October 6th, 2011 @ 12:00 pm Editor:
Men of honor and integrity such as R. Dean Farr, B.S. McRaney, Bill Downey and Bill Hodge have served as our parish clerk of court. They trained for this position by prior service in the clerk's office. There are four lawyers, a paralegal, and two deputy clerks of court who have qualified for this position. I am sure the lawyers and paralegal are fine people, but none have ever served in this office.
One of the deputy clerks has served 17 years, primarily in the conveyance records. The other, Louise Bond, has served 26 years with distinction in every department. She is a certified Deputy Clerk of Court, was Mr. Hodge's Executive Assistant, and is presently serving as our Clerk of Court.
Louise Bond has devoted her life to public service. Her late husband, Tom Bond, was a local school board member and a combat veteran of Vietnam. She is a devoted mother, grandmother and fine Christian woman.
Louise has the temperament, technology training, experience, skill and more knowledge of how to effectively run the Clerk's office than the sum of all the other candidates combined.
After 37 years of private practice law, the choice for Clerk of Court is clear to me. Louise Bond is the only choice. I am confident she will continue that tradition entrusted to her as the leader of the finest clerk's office in our state. I urge everyone to join me in electing her as our next Clerk of Court.
