Boley program honors veterans

Boley Elementary students joined Sen. Mike Walsworth and other local officials Wednesday to thank America's heroes — the men and women who served their country and those on active duty today.

They spent the afternoon singing songs of praise to the USA and its military men and women and watched short films about what it means to serve the country.

The Rev. Ottis Lenoir of Christ Church of West Monroe, a retired U.S. Army veteran, spoke to students about the importance in recognizing and honoring veterans.
