Seven Warhawks named to '90s all-decade team

FRISCO, Texas -- ULM dominated the Southland Conference's 1990s All-Decade Men's Basketball Team, announced Monday as part of the conference's year-long 50th Anniversary commemoration.

Former ULM players Larry Carr, Carlos Funchess, Anthony Jones, Paul Marshall, Ryan Stuart, Mike Smith and Fred Thompson were each named to the 21-member team and former head coach Mike Viningwas named the conference's coach of the decade.

The Warhawks dominated the Southland Conference in the 1990s under Vining, posting a 201-124 overall record and winning six regular season conference titles, five conference tournament titles and making NCAA Tournament appearances in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996.
