Monroe man arrested for sex offense

Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint last weekend that a man exposed his genitals while standing in a Monroe cul-de-sac in front of a residence.

According to OPSO, the complainant said that the man, identified as Derrick Dewayne Dickens, 35, of 538 Birchwood Drive Monroe, then pulled his pants and underwear down, clearly exposing his genitals.

There were about 10-15 children in close proximity to the location, according to the police report.
