Why read the Bible?

We're hearing a lot these days about taking God…Christ…out of our society. You know..."Remove the Ten Commandments from public places"…"Take Christ out of Christmas"…"Take Christ out of Christmas"…" Separation of church and state" "Keep the Bible out of politics"…etc. Well, on the last one, the "Politicians" have been doing that for a long time!

So, why should we read the Bible? Read on, and decide what you think of this for an answer?

The story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading from his old worn-out Bible. His grandson, who wanted to be just like him, tried to imitate him in any way he could.
