Morrison, Nance indicted by grand jury by Johnny Gunter - posted Friday, February 22nd, 2013 @ 2:16 pm Former Monroe city engineer Sinyale Morrison and another former city employee, Ricardo Nance, face up to five years in prison if convicted on public payroll fraud charges.
The two were indicted by a Ouachita Parish grand jury Thursday on one count each of public payroll fraud. There had to be nine votes for an indictment.
Johnson said Morrison's attorney, Charles Kincade, was scheduled to surrender his client sometime Friday. He said Nance could either surrender to authorities or a warrant would be issued for his arrest.
Ten grand jury members had taken more than eight hours of testimony Thursday, including two hours from Morrison, before reporting its findings to Judge Scott Leehy on Feb. 22.
