Sterlington hosts spelling bee

Sterlington Elementary School held its annual Spelling Bee Tuesday, Feb. 12. The winners are:

1st Place — Jake Smith, 5th Grade
2nd Place — Halle Morgan, 5th Grade
3rd Place — Mohammad Sheikh-Khalil, 4th Grade

SES was honored to have Mayor Vern Breland, Renee Auger of Marion State Bank, and Ricky Collins from EnerVest Operating to serve as our judges, and Barbara Knight as the pronouncer. The faculty and staff of SES wish to thank our students, parents, pronouncer, and judges for helping to make our Spelling Bee a success.
