The West Monroe High School Foundation's 2012 annual Big Event fundraiser, featuring NFL legend Archie Manning, turned out to be a larger success than last year's event, according to Kim Lolley, a member of the foundation's board of directors.

Lolley said Manning was a phenomenal speaker and the community members were especially excited to have their picture taken with the NFL legend during a meet-and-greet session photographed by Albritton Photography.

"His speech made me ready to go out and play football or go do something for the community," Lolley said. "He gave a very motivating and encouraging speech, referring to his family and experience in football to show what it took to be successful in business and life."
