B.O.W. workshop teaches gun safety

Becoming an Outdoors Woman (B.O.W.) is a wonderful workshop that the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries host each year in Pollock, Louisiana at Camp Grant Walker.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to go to about four of these workshops and continue to draw from the experiences and information that I learned those action packed weekends.

My favorite was handgun safety were we shot, cleaned and learned self-protection and I was able to bring my own guns: Browning 9mm and Smith & Wesson .38 special. I placed very well in shooting and take great comfort that I know my personal pistols/guns both inside and out for safe handling.
