"Mothers should negotiate between nations. Let's stop this race war.
The mothers of the fighting countries would agree:
Let's do what is best for our children!
Stop this killing now. Stop it now."

My good friend MARTHA ANDERSON asked me to come to the last Monroe City School Board meeting and speak on behalf of the Neville High School charter. I was shocked , saddened, embarrassed appalled and then afraid of what I had heard and seen. I started to leave several times and my friend asked me to please stay and support the cause and Vickie Krutzer.

The meeting started at 6:00 in the evening. I arrived a little after 6:00 prepared to give my two-minute message on why the charter would be good for our children and our community. I was told by a very big, very stern looking policeman to wait in the foyer as there were no seats available and one could not enter the meeting room without a seat. About 20 minutes later, I was told I could go in as someone was going to give me their seat. The room was packed with 75 percent black and 25 percent white.
