Clark elected council chairman

Eddie Clark has represented the citizens of Monroe City Council District 5 for almost six years.

The Monroe attorney will have a few more constituents to consider in coming months, after he was unanimously elected last week to serve as chairman of the City Council.

Clark said he was humbled the City Council entrusted him with the position.
"I'm not power hungry or position hungry by no means," Clark said. "I do look forward to being nothing more than a servant and serving as chairman with the utmost humility and respect I can possibly garner."
