Basketball tournament at Monroe Civic Center

The first annual City Monroe Basketball Tournament starts at the Monroe Civic Center Arena Dec. 13-15.

Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council joined the City of Monroe Department of Community Affairs Parks and Recreation division to announce the event Monday.

Participating boys' teams will be Richwood, Carroll, Ouachita, Farmerville, Rayville, Lake Providence and Hillcrest (Dallas, TX) high schools.

Participating girls' teams will be Rayville, Lake Providence, Carroll, Farmerville, Bastrop and Wilmer Hutchins (Dallas, TX) high schools.
