The Ouachita Citizen

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer

Have you ever felt rejected and ostracized by your peers? Were you ever taunted by your school mates for being different? Maybe you were very shy. Maybe you were considered a small fry. Were you ever considered ugly?

Maybe someone had called you dumb. Were you an overweight child? Were you ever called fatso? Were you skinny and kids called you beanpole? What about your eyesight? Were you ever called four eyes? Were you ever awkward and kids called you clumsy? In other words, something about you was considered an abnormality by others around you.

There are so many things that can happen to us as we go through life. Some comments that were made about us when we were young have been part of our psyche since the day that we heard such unkind words.
