Foundation backs Prophit for director

Alice Prophit was one step closer to taking the helm of the Living Well Foundation Tuesday.

Living Well's board of directors met Tuesday to act on the recommendation that Prophit be hired to serve as Living Well's president and CEO. The position pays $75,000 a year.

Search committee chairman Blake Wheelis said Living Well was excited to have a full-time president and CEO coming on board after six years of working to build the organization.

"It's time to go with a full-time CEO who's going to carry us to the next level," Wheelis said.
