Rummel knocks Ouachita Lions out of playoffs

The Ouachita Parish Lions put up a good fight, but ultimately it was the top seed Archbishop Rummel Raiders who emerged victorious last week.

The No. 9 Lions couldn't find a path to victory against the No. 1 Raiders, and ultimately the Raiders cut the Lions' semi-finals hopes short with a 23-19 win during last week's Class 5A quarterfinals game at Ouachita.

The game was a tug of war between the Lions (10-3) and the Raiders (13-0) from the beginning, with the game tied 6-6 at half time.
