A search committee charged with recommending a new president and chief executive officer for Living Well Foundation says a seasoned health care executive should get the job.
Living Well's board of directors will meet Tuesday to act on the recommendation that Alice Prophit be hired to serve as Living Well's president and CEO. The position pays $75,000 a year.
Prophit was chosen among three finalists, according to Blake Wheelis, who chaired the search committee. The other finalists were West Monroe High School principal Shere May, and American Heart Association regional executive director Niki F. Myers.
"It was a strong field of 15 candidates and then we narrowed to three finalists," Wheelis said. "The three top candidates, any one of them had great strengths that they brought to the table and any one of them could've been selected and would have been a fine choice."
