NLEP hires new president

One of north Louisiana's largest economic development agencies has a new leader.

The North Louisiana Economic Partnership announced Tuesday that it hired Scott Martinez to replace outgoing president Kurt Foreman, who resigned earlier this year.

Martinez is the former executive director of the Hutto Economic Development Corp., an economic development group near Austin, Tex.

NLEP chairman Todd Perry called Martinez "the clear choice" for NLEP's top spot.
