Food Bank needs donations now, throughout year

The holiday season is the season of giving. It's also the season when need becomes more apparent.

The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana is asking for help to meet that need, not just now but year-round as well, through donations to assist the Food Bank to fulfill its mission.

Food Bank director Belinda Carver said the agency depends on donations now to meet needs throughout the year.

"This time of year different organizations, churches and schools and things like that, are doing food drives, so we're able to build up our resources since we've been so low all year," said Carver. "Right now, we're having a huge increase in people coming in, needing help."
