Sterlington hosts Calvary Baptist in 2A second round

The Sterlington Panthers host the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers in the second round of Class 2A playoffs on Friday night.

Sterlington advanced to regional playoffs by edging a 49-42 victory over the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons last week in Hammond at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Friday night's contest marks the first time since 2007 that Sterlington, ranked No. 22, hosts a playoffs game.
