Ouachita hosts Haughton in 5A playoffs

The Ouachita Parish Lions host the Haughton Buccaneers for their first round of Class 5A playoffs on Friday night.

The Lions, ranked ninth in power ratings, routed the visiting Richwood Rams last week in a non-district contest with a score of 38-6, which gave the Lions a 8-2 record on the season. The Rams didn't advance to playoffs this year.

The Lions enter the bi-district playoffs round against the Buccaneers to determine who advances to the regional playoffs round. The winner of Friday's contest will meet either South Lafourche or Ruston.
