A routine traffic stop on Interstate 20 in West Monroe resulted in the arrest of three California men and netted a major drug haul.
Late Saturday evening, Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Dy. Seth Cox observed a vehicle swerve and cross both the fog line and center line of the eastbound lane near Thomas Road.
Cox initiated a routine traffic stop and discovered the driver, William Alberto Iraheta, 34, of Paramount, Calif., was driving with a suspended driver's license.
"With further investigation, Dy. Cox asked for and was granted verbal consent to search the vehicle," an arrest report stated.
