Natural history museum fate 'evolving'

Plans to move a natural history museum at the University of Louisiana-Monroe is "evolving," according to ULM executive vice president Stephen Richters.
Last week, Richters told The Ouachita Citizen the university was planning to store collections belonging to the ULM Museum of Natural History. This week, Richters emphasized that current space constraints at ULM mean the university can only accommodate collections of fish and plant specimens.
"We've found a way that, we think, we can set up the collections so they can still be used for research, so they are still accessible," Richters said.
The Museum of Natural History is home to one of the world's largest, most complete collections of freshwater fish.
