Tigers, Chiefs clash over district turf

The Neville Tigers provided convincing evidence they could be the best prep squad in north Louisiana last Friday, posting their 20th consecutive victory by slamming the Bastrop Rams, 43-23, at Bill Ruple Stadium.
In a game that was being set up as the Rams possible return to prep prominence, it was Neville's defense that made the bold statement, completely flustering Bastrop's high-octane offense in the televised district clash. The unanimous No. 1 Tigers even held as much as a 43-7 lead at one point in the fourth quarter.
Neville coach Mikey McCarty was even a little stunned by the Tigers defensive performance.
