Tigers, Chiefs clash over district turf by Matt Reynolds - posted Thursday, October 11th, 2012 @ 12:00 pm The Neville Tigers provided convincing evidence they could be the best prep squad in north Louisiana last Friday, posting their 20th consecutive victory by slamming the Bastrop Rams, 43-23, at Bill Ruple Stadium.
In a game that was being set up as the Rams possible return to prep prominence, it was Neville's defense that made the bold statement, completely flustering Bastrop's high-octane offense in the televised district clash. The unanimous No. 1 Tigers even held as much as a 43-7 lead at one point in the fourth quarter.
Neville coach Mikey McCarty was even a little stunned by the Tigers defensive performance.
