A local Spanish teacher faces up to 20 years in prison for bomb threats phoned into three area schools last week.

Former River Oaks Spanish teacher David G. Reyna has been held without bond since his arrest late last week on one charge of terrorizing-false communication of a bomb threat.

Authorities say Reyna, 30, of Monroe, phoned in bomb threats Sept. 24 to three area schools — River Oaks, St. Frederick High and Ouachita Christian School.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office Maj. Jason Pleasant believes personal issues led Reyna to phone in the threats.
