An interactive hearing exhibit is now on permanent display at the Children's Museum of Northeast Louisiana in Monroe. The Monroe chapter of Quota International donated the exhibit, which was funded in part by a legacy from longtime Quotarian Mrs. Frances Bullington, a speech pathologist with the Monroe City Schools.
Quota's Judy Cryer, who coordinated with the Museum on the project, said hearing has been the club's signature issue since its founding. Local members felt that a fun, educational exhibit on how to protect your ears would be an appropriate use of Bullington's bequest.
Children's Museum co-founders Martha Ryan and Melissa Saye were delighted with the result by museum designer Jules Babineaux of Scott.
