Rebels fight off visiting Bulldogs

The defending Class 5A state champion West Monroe hosts Class 3A Carroll for a match pitting Rebel passion to Bulldog spirit Friday night.

Last week, the Rebels sent the visiting Bastrop Rams off with a loss of 20-14 in a contest where Bastrop nearly made a last minute fourth quarter touchdown for victory. The Rebel swin saw West Monroe improve their season record to 3-1.

Carroll comes to the West Monroe contest with a record of 2-2 after Carroll lost 34-0 in a shutout victory by the Neville Tigers in Bulldog stadium last week.
