Committee Reports: Budget Committee – Nash Patel reported that the budget committee met on November 16, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. to review the Revised 2012 and the Proposed 2013 budget to be presented to the board on November 19, 2012. The board was presented a copy of the Revised 2012 and Proposed 2013 budget in the board meeting. Alana Cooper reviewed the budget to the board and stated that the budget will be voted on in the December 17, 2012 board meeting. Tourism Development Grant Committee – Ryan Roark reported that the Tourism Development Grant Committee met on November 19, 2012 at 3:45 to review payment requests for Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association and the Twin City Ballet Company. It was moved by Ryan Roark and seconded by Don O’Toole that the final payment in the amount of $27,800.00 be paid to the Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association and a payment in the amount of $11,250.00 which is 75% of $15,000.00 be paid to the Twin City Ballet Company. Motion carried by a vote of six (6) affirmative vote to zero (0) negative votes. Committee Report: Budget/Marketing Committee – Alana Cooper reported that Nash Patel, Chairman of the Budget/Marketing Committee presented the 2012 Revised and the 2013 Proposed Budget in the November board meeting to be voted on in the December board meeting. She requested board approval of the 2012 Revised and 2013 Proposed Budget as presented in the November meeting. It was moved by Ryan Roark and seconded by Lane Howell to approve the A SECTION he amount of $36,778.00. It was moved by Ryan Roark and seconded by Nash Patel to approve a one-time payment in the amount of $36,778.00 to Lamar Advertising for billboards that was contracted for the Tourism Development Grant to the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum in the amount of $20,000.00 and the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo in the amount of $19,200.00. Executive Director Report: Alana Cooper reported that she has schedule a staff retreat for January 4, 2013 to travel the Northeast Louisiana By-Ways Tour and a stop in Mound. She requested board approval to close the office on that day.
