A mandatory pre-bid conference for all interested Contractors will be begin at 9:00 a. m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the existing Richwood High School Cafeteria, 5901 Hwy. 165 South, Richwood, Louisiana. Bids will only be accepted from General Contractors who attend this conference.
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all additive alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in this State and who is residing in this State. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five percent (5%) by any method is acceptable. The Cost Estimate is $2,000,000.
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and shall be countersigned by a person who is contracted with the surety company or bond issuer as agent of the company or issuer, and who is licensed as an insurance agent in this State and who is residing in this State, in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
Only Contractors licensed according to Contractor's Licensing Law, R.S. 37:2151-2163, shall be considered if his bid is greater than $50,000.00 and shall show his license number on exterior of Bid Envelope and above his signature or the signature of his duly authorized representative.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids per Louisiana Revised Statue 38:2215(A).

SEPARATE SEALED BIDS for I-20 Frontage Road Extension – (Pecanland Mall Drive), will be received by the I-20 Economic Development Corporation at the office of the Engineer, RCH Company, Inc, 208 Louisville Ave, Monroe, LA 71201, until 10:00 A.M. CDST, on November 15, 2012 . Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Any bids received after closing time will be returned to the bidder unopened.
The Contract Documents including complete plans and specifications may be examined and procured at the office of the Engineer, RCH Company, Inc, 208 Louisville Ave, Monroe, LA 71201. A deposit of $100 shall be required for each set of Contract Documents. The deposit or a portion of the deposit is returnable as provided by the Louisiana State Public Bid Laws. Bid Documents may also be examined the A.G.C. Builder Exchange Office in Monroe, LA.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or acceptable Bid Bond payable to I-20 Economic Development Corporation in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required.
