AVAILABILITY OF BUDGETS
FOR THE OUACHITA PARISH POLICE JURY
Under the provisions of LSA-R.S. 39:1305 and 39:1306, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed 2008 Budgets and Amended 2007 Budgets for the General Fund Special Revenue Funds, and Other Funds of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury are available for public inspection in the office of the Treasurer of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, 301 South Grand Street, Room 201, Monroe, Louisiana on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, beginning December 6, 2007. A public hearing will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. in Courtroom No. 3, Second Floor, Ouachita Parish Courthouse, 301 South Grand Street, Monroe, Louisiana, to hear comments from interested citizens of Ouachita Parish as to the proposed budgets of the General Fund, Special Revenue Funds, and Other Funds administered by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.

Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the West Ouachita Sewerage District No. 5, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. Taken at the office of the district, 327 Wallace Road, West Monroe, Louisiana. Monday, November 9, 2007 (regular meeting).
Members present: Fred Hall, Don Leach, Ralph Owens
Members absent: None
Others present: Jerry Lazenby, Lazenby & Associates, Inc. and Terry Cox, district manager.
The meeting was called to order promptly at 11:00 a.m.
The first item on the agenda was the proposed Virginia Mae Estates, Unit 2, to consist of fifteen (15) single residential lots. Mr. Lazenby presented the plans and specifications for the subdivision and following a review Commissioner Leach made a motion to accept the subdivision, upon completion and inspection. Commissioner Owens seconded the motion.
The only other item was cash disbursements. Mr. Cox present the disbursements and a brief discussion followed. Commissioner Leach made a motion to accept them as reasonable and necessary and Commissioner Owens seconded the motion.
No further business being presented, the meeting adjourned at 12:10 p.m.

What: Public Meeting to discuss preliminary design concepts for the implementation of a new roadway corridor connecting LA Hwy. 143 to U.S. Hwy. 165 with a new Ouachita River Bridge located north of the corporate city limits of both Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) and the Federal Highway Administration, is planning to have a Public Meeting to discuss various preliminary design concepts for the implementation of a new roadway transportation facility in Ouachita Parish, and to obtain initial public comments and opinions in the early planning stages of this project. This new roadway transportation facility will provide an additional East / West facility that will link LA Highway 143 and U.S Highway 165 north of the corporate city limits of both Monroe and West Monroe. This new transportation facility will serve as a northern segment of a future planned transportation loop around both cities.
Comments and suggestions will be invited from all interested parties to help ensure that the study team addresses the full range of engineering design and environmental issues during the feasibility process. Following the presentation, representatives of the study team will be available to receive comments and answer questions related to this project. All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
