Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards. During the monitoring period of October 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006, the Pine Bayou Water System did not monitor for TTHMs and HAA5, and therefore we cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time. Please share thisinformation with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail. This violation occurred because of the failure to collect the required samples for total trihalomethanes (TTHMs) and haloacetic acids-five (HAA5) from the water system’s distribution system.
