Norris honored at White House

Efforts to alleviate strain on the Sparta Aquifer will receive national attention thanks to a White House program created to call attention to "Champions of Change."

West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris traveled to the nation's capital city earlier this week to take part in a ceremony Wednesday honoring him and 10 other government officials from around the country for visionary uses of infrastructure to improve the quality of life for their citizens.

Norris said the honor was an important opportunity to give credit to the people who made the Sparta reuse project happen.
