Rays of Sonshine wants help with Monroe rehab project

Rays of Sonshine is set to begin a neighborhood stabilization project in south Monroe with assistance from a $1.5 million federal grant.

Rays of Sonshine is a non-profit organization established in 1998 by Lynn Daniel to assist local people in need.

Daniel, the executive director of Rays of Sonshine, said the project would bring new housing to neighborhoods near Mt. Nebo Baptist Church on Jackson Street.
