Aldermen zip through regular meeting

In rapid fashion, the West Monroe Board of Aldermen handled a light agenda Tuesday night at the board's regular meeting.

After quickly approving the minutes for the Board of Aldermen's February meeting and approving payments of the city's bills for February, aldermen declared an electronic sign as movable property and agreed to sell it through an Internet auction.

The sign had been used at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center off Interstate 20.

Mayor Dave Norris said the sign had been replaced by a new one.
