Ex-NFL star speaks at ULM

University of Louisiana-Monroe alum and former NFL running back Dr. Joe Profit will be giving a lecture as part of ULM's Black History Month Celebration.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. today (Thursday) in the ULM Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the ULM Library.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow Profit's lecture.

Profit, a native of Monroe, has recently published, "Fields of Success – Raised Expectations," - a book that covers different platforms of Profit's life where he faced his most significant struggles including the cotton fields where he worked as a child, the football field and business 'fields.'
