Mike Walsworth of West Monroe was named to the Louisiana Emergency Response Commission. Walsworth is the Republican State Senator for District 33, representing Claiborne, Lincoln, Morehouse, Ouachita, Union and West Carroll parishes. Among its many responsibilities, the Louisiana Emergency Response Commission establishes emergency planning districts, appoint local emergency planning committees, supervise and coordinate the activities of local emergency planning committees, provide the Environmental Protection Agency with information concerning notification received on certain releases of hazardous materials and substances, and designate facilities subject to hazardous material reporting procedures. .....
