Neville girls advance, boys falter

The No. 4 Neville Lady Tigers are the only area team in Class 4A to survive the first round of the playoffs, posting a 32-17 win over No. 29 Benton on Monday at Neville High School.

Despite all five girls' teams, and three of the boys' squads from District 2-4A making the postseason, the Lady Tigers (25-2) are the only team with left with a chance of playing for a state title in Fant-Ewing Collasium in March.

The Lady Tigers will host No. 13 Leesville tonight in what could be one of the toughest tests to date for Lori Guimbellot's squad.
