First Christian takes next step
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
First Christian Church in Monroe is one of more than 30,000 churches around the world that have participated in the 40 Days of Purpose spiritual growth concept.
Last year the First Christian Church nearly doubled its attendance while participating in "40 Days of Purpose."

This week they will take step two in this plan that is designed to move churches into implementing God's five purposes in the world.

The follow-up program, called 40 Days of Community, will begin at First Christian Church on Feb. 3.

40 Days of Community is about expressing God's love in real and tangible ways through relationship. The campaign is designed to move people from focusing on God's desires for their personal lives — "What on Earth am I here for?" — to focusing on what God wants them to do in their church and community — "What on Earth are we here for?"

For information about First Christian Church and 40 Days of Community you may visit the FCC Web site at www.fcc-monroe.org or call Kim at (318) 387-3150.
