The Lions (20-4, 1-0) started their district play strong with a 62-33 win over West Monroe. The No. 9 Natchitoches Central Chiefs, as ranked in the Ken Ramsey power rankings, hold the district high ground with Ouachita. Pineville (3-15, 0-1) hasn't been able to find much success on the court this season with a tough schedule that included them losing to Natchitoches Central last week, 61-52.
