WM police chief declines Bismarck post
by Zach Parker - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
West Monroe Police Chief Christopher Elg turned down the police chief offer from the Bismarck Police Department in North Dakota on Thursday according to the Bismarck Tribune.

Elg contacted the Bismarck Board of Commissioners to let them know his family's decision to decline the offer. The commission certified Bismarck deputy police chief Dan Donlin for consideration and will proceed to offer Donlin the job.

Elg was also a finalist for the police chief position in South Bend, Indiana and Bellingham, Washington. The Bellingham Police Department has already filled the position though South Bend is still conducting interviews with the top candidates at this time.

Elg could not be reached for comment.
