Fourth Judicial District Court Judge Wendell Manning sentenced Allen Jamel Robinson Tuesday for Robinson's conviction on aggravated second-degree battery and second-degree kidnapping charges. A 35-year-old native of Winnsboro, Robinson was tried and convicted in October as a habitual offender. A prior felony conviction in West Carroll Parish for robbery allowed the 4th Judicial District Attorney's office to try Robinson as a habitual offender for beating and burning Ester Freeman in a Garrett Road apartment in October 2010. Since Robinson was convicted as a habitual offender, he is not eligible for probation or parole. That means he must serve every day of the 110-year sentence, or until he dies. .....
