Monroe has never looked lovelier with great decorations downtown, at City Hall, the University of Louisiana-Monroe, West Monroe, in our churches and just everywhere we go there is excellence in what we are doing. We must mention the fabulously redecorated home of Marion and Tommy Zentner built on Riverside Drive in 1926, by Marion's grandfather. The decorations are just right for this quintessential home of the Old South.

Still on Riverside, the Johnny T. Johnson home has a truly elegant entrance and down the street is daughter, Jennifer Johnson Walker...both fabulous! On Pargoud, do see the home of Cynthia and Thad Ryan, thousands of white lights everywhere, but done beautifully. Add Dr. Sam and Linda Trinca's home on Park avenue for a must see. Ashley and Dr. Kevin Haynes have just the right decorations to welcome daughter, Rachel Haynes home from LSU. We must say, Skip Portman on Marie Place always has the Christmas spirit through his lights.

Martha Jane Anderson retired from University of Louisiana-Monroe after 35 years of service as Assistant Dean of Students and SGA Advisor. She is married to Patrick H. Anderson Sr., has two children, and four grandchildren.
