Monroe Police Det. Jeff Gilbert said the incident took place around 11 a.m., when the owner of a home in the 3800 block of Bayside Circle in River Oaks subdivision answered a knock at the door. "As the victim opened the door, two black males in masks and armed with firearms entered the residence demanding money," Gilbert said in a prepared statement.
