PJ eyes $92M budget

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury is poised to approve a $92 million budget for the 2013 fiscal year that will pay for everything from road repairs to library books.

The Police Jury must adopt the budget for the new fiscal year at its Dec. 17 meeting. Police Jury treasurer Brad Cammack said the final budget ordinance will be introduced at the Police Jury's Dec. 3 meeting.

"The majority of the budgets and districts underneath the Police Jury's umbrella have been reviewed and approved, except for the road program-type projects that will be reviewed at the Dec. 3 meeting," Cammack said.
