WM facilities get facelift

A series of infrastructure repairs and improvements at Kiroli Park should provide the City of West Monroe with an updated and more serviceable park.

The most recent development project at Kiroli includes the construction of a new storage facility to house the park's maintenance and ground equipment.

West Monroe director of parks and recreation Doug Seegers said the park's storage building was growing older and was becoming structurally unfit. Factors such as inclement weather posed an increasing threat to the building. Also, the building was much less suited for housing equipment and had become a hazard to visiting park personnel, according to Seegers.
