My mother, my mentor

I enjoy taking out my mother's Bible to read through it and see what scriptures influenced her toward her decision-making processes for a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a friend, a widow, and the unexpected happenings that became a part of the history of this courageous young woman who faced life's trials with a strong dependency on her Savior, Jesus Christ.

There were distinguishing marks throughout her Bible.

First, there were straight lines drawn under the words and sentences. If the verse made an impact upon her life, the lines were drawn in a squiggly fashion. Then what seemed to have an even stronger impact upon her life's choices were highlighted with a magic marker in a light orange, or green.
