Habitat for Humanity, ULM forge partnership

Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita wants to "ReStore" the Twin Cities. To that end, the non-denominational Christian housing ministry is raising money to open a ReStore for Ouachita Parish.

A ReStore is a re-sale store operated to support the Habitat for Humanity mission of building simple, decent, affordable housing for low-income families.

Whitty Hood, president of Ouachita Independent Bank, is chairing the campaign for the ReStore project.

"I'm convinced that with the project, Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita can build at least one more house every year than is currently being built," Hood said.
