Charter group responds to critique A group hoping to convert Neville High School into a charter school has responded to a host of objections aired last week during the Monroe City School Board meeting.
Last week, School Board president Verbon Muhammed distributed an executive summary of a meeting he and other School Board representatives attended with the U.S. Department of Justice to discuss the Neville Charter School proposal.
At issue in the Justice Department meeting was a lack of information from the Neville Alumni and Friends Association, or NAFA, the group that hopes to begin offering classes at Neville Charter in the fall of 2013.
