Event brings seniors together

Hundreds of seniors attended and participated in the "Living Longer and Loving It!" fun-filled event, hosted by the West Ouachita Senior Center and Communities Acting to Benefit Louisiana's Elderly (C.A.B.L.E.) on Monday, Oct. 8.

Event Organizer and Charter C.A.B.L.E. member, Jeanette Ellington, said, "All seniors actively participated in this exciting event which showcased the Senior Center's daily activities."  

The one hour program was designed to demonstrate physical fitness, laughter, mental challenges, and music therapy simulation activities. Seniors also left with valuable disaster survival information provided by the American Red Cross.
