Bruno: Expanded recruiting stabilizes enrollment A record jump in the number of incoming freshmen at the University of Louisiana-Monroe has stabilized enrollment.
ULM President Nick Bruno credited the university's recruiters with much of the success in bringing new students to the campus. Some 1,300 new freshmen enrolled for the fall semester, ULM announced Tuesday.
That's a major achievement, Bruno said, because all of northeastern Louisiana only produced about 1,200 high school graduates this year who met the qualifications to apply at ULM.
